Concierge hands the whole search to our team — an unfamiliar discipline, a tight deadline, or a specialty that's hard to phrase. You describe the case, we source candidates, run outreach, check conflicts, and manage the process until an expert is retained. Each search you hand us is a Concierge order.

Free to request. You're charged $2,000 per expert retained — nothing for the search itself, and nothing for candidates you don't retain.

#Where to find it

• Dashboard — open the Concierge tab in the card at the top, then Request Concierge.
• + New in the header → Concierge order. The same entry is in the command palette — press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and look under Create.
• Concierge in the sidebar, under Get an Expert — your Concierge orders. Until you have one, it offers Request Concierge. A badge on it counts candidates waiting for your decision.
• Concierge orders on the dashboard — while you have an open order, a card lists your orders (the ones waiting on you first) with each one's status and next step. View all opens the Concierge page.
• Request Concierge on search results and on the pricing page.

#Placing a Concierge order

#When you're signed in

Signed in as an attorney, you place the order yourself — it appears on your Concierge page straight away, with an order number. The form has four short steps:

1. You — the order is placed as you: your name and email are shown but can't be changed (use Not you? Sign out if that's the wrong account). Add a phone number and anyone else who should get updates. If you don't belong to a firm yet, enter your firm's name — we set up a firm workspace with that name, and you're its admin.
2. The matter — pick one of your matters, or type a new name and choose + New matter. A new matter also asks for its number, case type, jurisdiction, and court. Then list the parties (shared with experts only so they can check for conflicts).
3. The expert — a case summary, expert requirements, type of expert, consulting or testifying, how many candidates you want, budget, and key dates.
4. Review — check everything (use Edit on any section to go back), tick I agree to the Concierge terms: $2,000 per expert retained, billed only when I retain., and choose Place order.

You're taken straight to the new order's page, with a banner confirming the order number and when candidates are due (dismiss it with the ×). We email you a confirmation too, and your concierge will review the details and confirm shortly. The target is 5 business days to first candidates, shown on the order page.

#When you're not signed in

Anyone can fill in the same form from the Concierge request page without an account. The last step asks you to confirm we may contact you, and the button reads Submit request instead of Place order — it sends a request rather than placing an order: our concierge team reviews it and emails you to confirm, and you get an order number once the order is placed. Create an account with the same email to track your orders here.

#If we send you an intake link

If you've already been in touch with us, a concierge may start the order for you and email you a Complete your intake link. It opens a short form pre-filled with what we know — review it, fill in the rest (about five minutes), and submit to place the order. No account or password is needed; the link is personal to you and works until the date shown in the email.

#Following an order

Each order shows a status timeline:

Two more states sit outside the timeline: On Hold (paused, we'll explain why in a message) and Closed — with an outcome of retained, no fit found, withdrawn, or expired.

The order page also recaps everything you asked for — requirements, type of expert, engagement, key dates, budget, parties, and who's copied on updates.

#During outreach

While we're reaching out to candidates, your order page shows contacted/responded/cleared counts plus a coarse card per candidate — discipline, credential type, region, experience band, and side lean, without a name, photo, employer, or profile link. Tell us More like this or Not this type on any card (with an optional note) and we'll factor it into who we contact next. We may turn this preview off for sensitive matters; when it's off you'll still see the counts.

#Reviewing candidates

Once candidates are ready, each card shows a profile link, availability, conflict status, hourly rates, earliest start date, the expert's own note, whether a CV is on file, and our recommendation. Three actions per candidate:

• Request intro — we connect you directly with the expert.
• Pass — decline with a reason, so we can keep refining the search.
• Retain — request retention. Staff confirm with the expert and raise the invoice as a separate step; nothing is billed automatically.

#Staying in touch

Message the concierge team — the button at the top of the order page — opens a direct conversation with whoever owns your order. The side panel shows everyone on the order (add a colleague from your firm any time). If the candidates aren't right, use Request more candidates. If the case has resolved another way, Withdraw order closes it out.

#When an expert responds

When we reach out to a candidate, their reply lands in that same order thread as its own card: availability and earliest start date, any intro-call times they picked on their scheduling grid (shown in their time zone — book the call from the candidate's card in the order workspace), a conflict check, rates, their note, and whether a CV is on file.
