Concierge Search

Hand the search to our team and get a curated expert shortlist within 48 hours.

4 min read

When you'd rather not run the search yourself — an unfamiliar discipline, a tight deadline, or a specialty that's hard to phrase — Concierge hands it to our team. You describe the case, we source candidates, and you get a curated shortlist within 48 hours.

Find it at Concierge in the sidebar, under Communication.

Free to submit. A $500 success fee applies only if you retain an expert from the shortlist — nothing is charged for the search itself.

The Concierge Search page. Header reads 'Concierge Search' with the subtitle 'Get a curated expert shortlist — you only pay when you retain', and a 'New Request' button on the right. Below, a list of request cards each showing the specialty needed in bold, a coloured status badge (Sourcing, Shortlist Delivered), the case type and jurisdiction, and a line reading 'Submitted 3 days ago · 5 experts on shortlist'.

One at a time. You can only have one active concierge request open. While a request is Submitted, Sourcing, or Shortlist Delivered, the New Request button is disabled and a banner explains why. Retain, complete, or cancel the current one first.

#Following a request

Each request has a status timeline running across the top of its detail page:

StatusWhat it means
SubmittedWe've received it and are picking it up
SourcingOur team is actively finding candidates
Shortlist DeliveredYour curated experts are ready to review
RetainedYou've retained one of them
CompletedThe engagement is closed out

Two more statuses sit outside the timeline: Canceled (you withdrew it) and Expired.

While we're still sourcing, the page shows a plain waiting state — "We're finding the best experts for you" — rather than an empty shortlist. We notify you when it's ready.

#Reviewing the shortlist

Each expert on the shortlist shows their name, headline, specialties, state, hourly rate where we have it, and — most usefully — a Why recommended note explaining what made them a fit for your case specifically.

A concierge shortlist. Three expert cards stacked, each with a name in bold, a headline, specialty badges, a location and hourly rate row, a grey 'Why recommended:' panel with a short paragraph, and a 'Retain This Expert' button on the right. The first card is highlighted in amber with a purple 'Retained' badge.

#Retaining an expert

Retain This Expert appears on each card once the shortlist has been delivered. Confirming moves the request to Retained and marks that expert on the shortlist.

The $500 success fee is charged after the engagement begins — not at the moment you click. A banner on the request stays visible afterwards as a reminder.

#Canceling

You can cancel while a request is Submitted or Sourcing — once the shortlist has been delivered, the work is done and the cancel option goes away. Canceling can't be undone, but you're free to submit a fresh request afterwards.
