With expertise in both academia and complex neurodiagnostic practice, I provide a grounded, real-world educational experience for my students and objective, technically rigorous analysis for legal counsel in medical malpractice cases. | ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP: Program Director and Associate Faculty of the CAAHEP-accredited NDT program at Bellevue College. I design, develop, and deliver original instructional content including lectures, labs, simulations, and clinicals to prepare students for successful careers in EEG, IONM, PSG, and NCV. My academic work emphasizes clinical rigor, standards-based practice, critical thinking, and the development of technical judgment in complex medical environments. | CLINICAL EXPERTISE: CNIM-certified intraoperative neuromonitoring technologist with specialties in neurophysiological techniques applied in complex brain, spinal, and vascular surgeries. Through practice and continuing education I maintain mastery of many neurodiagnostic modalities, including electroencephalography (EEG), somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), motor evoked potentials (MEP), spontaneous and triggered electromyography (EMG), pedicle screw stimulation (PSS), brain and spinal cord mapping, intrafield stimulation (IFS), deep brain stimulation (DBS) electrode placement, and cranial nerve mapping. Experience working in both academic hospitals and private practice neurodiagnostic lab settings performing intraoperative neuromonitoring and EEG across pediatric, adult, and trauma patient populations. | NEURODIAGNOSTIC CONSULTATION AND IONM EXPERT WITNESS: As an experienced expert witness, I bridge the gap between clinical practice and formal education. I leverage this perspective to evaluate neurodiagnostic work through both operational and standards-based lenses, providing comprehensive litigation support through objective merit reviews, detailed record analysis, and deposition coaching. By investigating the case and evaluating practitioner performance against accepted standards, I translate technical findings into structured testimony that is accessible to both legal professionals and jurors.
