Dr. Robin G. Simon is a highly credentialed and experienced orthopedic surgeon with an impressive background in both clinical practice and academic settings. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, after completing his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University.
Dr. Simon's extensive training includes a prestigious AO Fellowship in Trauma under the guidance of renowned orthopedist Dr. H. Tscherne at the Unfallchirurgische Klinik in Hannover, Germany. He also completed fellowships in Posttraumatic Reconstruction and Limb Restoration at the Texas Orthopedic Hospital, as well as an Orthopedic Junior Trauma Fellowship at Boston City Hospital. His residency training in Orthopedic Surgery was undertaken at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Oakland General Hospital.
With over 15 years of experience as an expert witness in Florida and Washington state, Dr. Simon has provided invaluable insights in liability and workers' compensation cases. He has also served as a utilization management reviewer for multiple companies, further solidifying his expertise in evaluating medical necessity and appropriateness of care. Dr. Simon's academic contributions include several publications in prestigious journals, such as the American Journal of Orthopedics and Langenbeck's Archives of Surgery, as well as lecturing engagements at various institutions.
Currently, Dr. Simon holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. He is also the Chief of Surgery at Florida Medical Center, where he serves on the Medical Operations Committee.
