Jonas Sokolof

Dr. Jonas M. Sokolof, CLCP, is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Harvard Medical School-trained rehabilitation physician, and Certified Life Care Planner with extensive experience evaluating complex medical conditions, functional impairment, causation, future medical needs, and medical damages. He is fellowship-trained in sports and musculoskeletal medicine, non-surgical orthopedic care, and interventional physiatry. Dr. Sokolof has held clinical, academic, and leadership positions at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYU Langone Health/Rusk Rehabilitation, Weill Cornell Medical College, and other major healthcare institutions. His clinical expertise includes musculoskeletal and spine disorders, chronic pain, cancer rehabilitation, functional impairment, and the long-term consequences of injury and disease. His medical-legal work includes physician life care planning, medical damage assessment, review of future medical care requirements, causation analysis, disability claim review, workers’ compensation matters, and personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He has experience providing objective, evidence-based medical opinions for attorneys and insurers and translating complex medical records, diagnoses, treatment histories, functional limitations, and anticipated future care into clear and defensible conclusions. Dr. Sokolof has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and has lectured nationally on rehabilitation medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, cancer rehabilitation, and related topics.
