Joe Sremack

Joe Sremack is an advisory partner of Marcum LLP and the leader of its Forensic Data Analytics team. He has over 20 years of experience providing technology, forensics, and data analytics services to address large-scale data, software, and enterprise systems issues.

Mr. Sremack's areas of expertise include technical services relating to complex data analysis, system and business process analysis, complex data identification and management, data-intensive business process failure and underperformance issues, internal and government investigations, litigation, and regulatory compliance implementation and response. Joe develops software and assesses source code in numerous programming languages and performs data extraction and analysis involving enterprise data systems, including various ERPs and cloud-based data services. He has experience working across jurisdictions and before numerous financial and trade regulatory bodies. His experience spans jurisdictions across the U.S. and in over fifty countries. His technical analysis has included the assessments of data privacy of online trackers, systems controls for financial regulatory compliance, source code in intellectual property disputes, and 

Joe is the author of Big Data Forensics and a frequent contributor to professional and academic organizations. He is consistently listed as one of the top data and technology experts by “Who’s Who Legal.” He is also an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), IEEE, and International Association of Privacy Professionals.
