Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Chervu has served in numerous leadership positions, including Chief of Surgery and Chief of Medical Staff at WellStar Cobb Hospital, and President of the Georgia Vascular Society. His clinical expertise encompasses wound care, carotid disease management, endovascular procedures, deep vein thrombosis treatment, dialysis access, and peripheral vascular interventions. He has performed over 1,000 cases annually and has been instrumental in expanding vascular services across multiple hospital systems in Georgia. Dr. Chervu has also served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and maintains academic appointments at Georgia Regents University and Kennesaw State University.
Dr. Chervu's research credentials include serving as principal investigator or co-investigator on more than 25 clinical trials involving major pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals and contributed multiple book chapters on vascular surgery topics. His extensive committee service includes credentials review, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives spanning more than two decades. Recognized as an Atlanta Magazine "Top Doctor" from 2016 to 2025, Dr. Chervu brings exceptional clinical knowledge, research experience, and leadership credentials to legal matters requiring expert vascular surgery testimony.
