Daniel O'Connell

Mr. O’Connell is the principal consulting safety engineer for SAFETRAN-Port Safety Services.  As an author, instructor, and presenter, Mr. O’Connell conducts post incident investigation, safety analysis, inspections of projects, worksites, property, equipment, and vehicles.  Daniel reviews training programs and verifies the instruction of operators, heavy truck drivers, and worksite conditions in accord with federal and state regulations, and the established standards of care.

Since 1995, Mr. O’Connell has served as a practicing safety professional, with the education, board-certification, and hands-on technical expertise in Heavy Industry, Trucking, Intermodal Cargo (Maritime), and Construction trades.  Specialties include Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts), Mobile Equipment, and Commercial Vehicles.  As a testifying safety expert witness, O’Connell is approved in state and federal court serving plaintiff and defense counsel.
