About
Larry Lowenthal is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, and his expertise in the business goes back decades. He obtained a Florida real estate broker's license in 1978 and since participated in hundreds of closed transactions, serving nearly two thousand customers before exiting general real estate. His extensive involvement with professional organizations, such as his local Board of Realtors, where he chaired the Grievance Committee and later sat on the Professional Standards Committee. Between the two, Larry analyzed hundreds of ethics complaints and requests for arbitration, as well as judging several cases in trial-like sessions. He is also a member of the Association of Real Estate License Law Offices (ARELLO).
Larry is originally from Chicago, where he earned a degree in Economics at the University of Chicago.
Larry has been retained as a consulting and testifying expert witness for dozens of lawsuits involving failed or troubled real estate transactions in fourteen states, as well as some big-number commission and compensation disputes. His testimony has been sought in 23 depositions and six trials (where he is six for six), underscoring his reputation as a reliable and trustworthy expert in the field. Additionally, his contributions to the National Association of Realtors, including initiating efforts to address deceptive MLS practices, demonstrate his commitment to upholding ethical standards within the industry.
Having taught both economics and business writing to evening students at two colleges in south Florida, Larry is an expert presenter, and enjoys explaining his findings to attorneys, judges, and juries.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lowenthal has actively participated in various community organizations, serving on boards and committees focused on education, advertising, and homeowners' associations. His diverse experiences and involvement in these areas add depth to his perspective and credibility as an expert witness.
