Simon Dardashti

Simon Dardashti is a medical legal expert and a practicing physician in pain management and anesthesiology. He is double board certified and has over 10 years of experience in risk management, case review, depositions, and trials. Dardashti provides services for both plaintiff and defense cases, with a 50:50 split between the two. His areas of expertise include defense and independent medical examinations (DME/IME) for motor vehicle accidents, nature of injury, causation, medical malpractice, deposition and trial testimony, and cost analysis.

Work Experience

Dardashti is currently employed as an anesthesiologist and pain management physician at Facey Medical Group, where he is involved in corporate compliance and risk management. Previously, he worked at Advanced Pain Medical Group from 2018 as an anesthesiologist and pain management physician. From 2016, he served as a clinical professor of anesthesiology and pain management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dardashti's clinical expertise includes epidural and facet joint injections, complex regional pain syndrome, medial branch injections, orthopedic injury and post-operative pain management, shoulder, hip, and knee joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, nerve blocks, medication management, opiate management and overdose, anesthesia and sedation, intubation, disability evaluation, and trauma and anoxic brain injury.

Education and Training

Dardashti completed his pain medicine fellowship at UCLA in 2015. He received his anesthesiology internship and residency training from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in 2014. He obtained his Medical Doctorate (MD) from Chicago Medical School in 2010, a Master of Science (MS) in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005.

Licensure and Certifications

Dardashti is dually board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). He holds an active medical license from the Medical Board of California and a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) prescribing license. Additionally, he is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Honors and Awards

Dardashti has received several honors and awards throughout his career, including being selected for the Physician Leadership Program in 2024, receiving an Academic Award as an Anesthesiology Select Resident with Honorable Mention in 2014, being named Resident of the Month in March 2013 and August 2013, being recognized as a "Select Resident 2010" at the Long Beach VA, and receiving an Honorable Mention in a Mock Trial in 1998.
