Richard Armitage

Career

Richard Armitage is a results-driven international program and project management professional. He holds several certifications, including PMP®, PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner, Scrum Master Certified™, and SAP Certified Associate - SAP Activate. With over 15 years of experience in DevOps, he has managed agile, hybrid, and waterfall fixed-cost and cost-plus projects, leading large global teams on ERP and other implementation projects in the US, Mexico, UK, Europe, Latin America, and India.

Project Management

Armitage has a strong understanding of various methodologies, including PRINCE2®, PMBOK, SAP Activate, PMO/EPMO, PMLC, SDLC, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, waterfall, and ITIL. He has actively participated in local Toastmasters and Mile-Hi PMI Chapters.

Account Management, Sales, and Operations

Armitage has experience as a Key Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, and direct account manager, responsible for Professional Services, maintenance, software licensing renewals, upgrades, and upsell/cross-selling. He has supported sales and pre-sales activities, including writing proposals, contracts, business cases, and delivering demos. Armitage has had end-to-end P&L responsibility for accounts, including NDAs, MSAs, RFPs, and SOWs.

Leadership

Armitage has served as a Finance and Client Services & Delivery Manager. He has been a board member of the Outdoor Lab Foundation (OLF), an experiential educational school. He has mentored, managed, and led cross-functional teams of employees, partners, vendors, and contractors, managing large (up to 200) geographically diverse and dispersed teams.

Armitage is a dual US and UK citizen and has lived and worked overseas for more than 24 years.

Armitage holds an MBA in International Business/Strategic Management from US International University (USIU) in San Diego, CA, and a BS with dual minors in Marketing and Finance (cum laude) from the same university. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner by Axelos Global Best Practice, and an SAP Certified Associate - Project Manager - SAP Activate.
